Heat shrink tube is widely used for copper busbar in 1kv and 10kv switchgear, usually people will tell you cooper busbar width and thickness, how to choose suitable heat shrink busbar tube?

You need to do the following:

1. Calculate the perimeter(P) of busbar

P=(width + thickness)*2

2. Calculate the min diameter(D) of heat shrink tube

D=P/3.14

3. Example:

Busbar size: 50*10mm
